Adam and I were married 4 years ago today--each year keeps getting better and better!!
Lennon is 9 weeks ago--we can hardly believe it. We went in to the doctor last week. Lennon was 11 pounds 3 oz and 22 inches long. He's in the 74% for weight, the 39% for length, the 54% for head size and he's in the 89% for his weight compared to his length, so he's short and stocky right now!
He got some of his vaccines and he did really well. That night we went to a jazz club with Adam's family and he slept the whole time. He started crying when we were leaving and when we got home he was screaming. It definitely was a different kind of cry--our poor guy was in pain. We gave him some baby Tylenol and once that started to kick in he went to bed just fine. The next day, he was himself again!

With his Papa Schafer:
Adam's parents were in town for about a week visiting and looking for for a house. They found one and are under contract, so hopefully everything goes smoothly with the closing. It was great having them visit. They were staying with Beka and Jared but they came over most days to hang out with Lennon while I went into the office or worked from home--it's amazing how productive you can be when you don't have a baby on your shoulder!!
Uncle Ross had this outfit made for Lennon, and it's my favorite--he just looks so cute in it!He's starting to jabber more...

Though this picture is blurry, we had to post it. One Saturday morning, he made this face everytime Adam would kiss him, and then he would be fine again. This is his pathetic face that always makes us laugh!

Last weekend was filled with lots of celebration. Friday morning, when Adam was leaving for work he let me know that Beka was coming over that night to watch Lennon so he could take me out to dinner for my birthday. It was great to go out (and Lennon wasn't too bad for Beka, thankfully). And we didn't even talk about him the entire time, which we were proud of!!!

On Saturday, Lennon's birthday present to me was that he has started smiling! We were laying in bed with him that morning, playing with him, and he looked up at me with a big grin--I couldn't have asked for a better gift!

Adam surprised me for Mother's Day and took us to a Rockies game with Emily! It was a little chilly and gloomy but it didn't feel cold like I was expecting. We bundled Lennon up and he slept in his carrier on Adam most of the time. And the Rockies won! (which unfortunately isn't happening too much these days)
Me and Emily:
We got home from the game and just crashed. And unfortunately a fever that I had been battling came back with a vengeance. It was just a fever with all the aches and pains that go with it, but it still knocked me out for a couple days. I'm finally feeling better, still a bit tired but that's manageable, and thankfully Lennon hasn't gotten sick, so that's something to be thankful for.

Rolling Over

We had our 6 week appointment on Monday and mom and baby are doing great! Lennon weighed in at a whopping 10.5 pounds and he's 21 inches long. He's in the 50th percentile for weight and close to the 25th percentile for length, so he's on track!

Lennon is in his cloth diapers and we are loving them! They're bulky right now (he'll grow into them), but they're super cute and they are working great!

Here are some pictures of him rolling over. His arm was in the perfect position that made it easy for him at the time. The video is one of his earlier attempts--squeaks and all!
